This huge sign is the sight that greets motorists traveling across the 59th Street Bridge's upper level en route to Queens. It was once the place where Silvercup bread was baked, but has since been converted into studio spaces for television and film. The first taxi garage I worked at was near this place and when bringing in a cab at 3 am the streets were filled with the incongruous aroma of freshly baked bread.
