This subterranean duet of saxophone and steel drum were brightening up the Times Square station with their own version of the jazz standard, "Take Five".
That was such a good mix..gotta admit though I almost love the kid in the red shirt more, who dropped the duo some $$ before boarding the train..I was getting a little sad seeing nobody drop a thing in the sax case. I always drop something in the tip buckets/cases/cans even if the music entertainment might not be so great, and come to think of it, I can't think now of any street players I haven't enjoyed in some way. People are so creative. Recently one of the most enjoyable street gigs I enjoyed was on the Ocean City boardwalk..a kid had built his own drum set outta old industrial sized buckets and paint cans. I dropped him a pretty big bill and I would have given him more if I physically had it with me.
