where exactly is the flatiron district?
This is beautiful.
It's the area around the Flatiron Building, roughly a bit north and south of 5th Ave and 23rd Street.
this is one of those Sheppard Farley pieces, the one that everybody talks about is at Houston and Bowery. He's been getting a lot of flak for his art because people in the street art world think he's selling out, even though for the most part many of those artists' would probably trade their starving artist status for cash too. my guess is that the Ace hotel over here commissioned the piece. there's also more at that new hotel on Bowery and 5th street.
