I have been driving a Taxi in Berlin for more than fourty years. Also wrote about in Newspapers. And at a time, when I thought about to photograph once in a while -and also did it- I realized, that I aimed to areas or places just for taking a snapshot of, for example, the famous column Siegessäule in a park-area named Tiergarten, because the sun at that time would have been in a perfect angle.
Then, I thought, that in the long run I couldn't afford such hobby and stopped photographing with my Minox 35GT.
But over here I found all the photos I would have liked to take on my own and even
some more I never ever would have thought about it.
Thanks so much for your kind words.
I think, whether it's in NYC or Berlin, that driving a taxi is the perfect cover for being a street photographer.
Under certain circumstances, what an ingenious way for a beautiful woman to make a living.
