14 June '12 -- Another picture of family togetherness, this time with the Statue of Liberty in Times Square. The expressions on the children's faces make this shot one of my favorites.

5 April '12 -- This is an "islands in the stream" shot on 8th Avenue, approaching Times Square.  When people in an image are clearly having a great time I include the label "joy" beneath the picture.

31 July '10 -- This shot is in the category I call "body language".  Here it looks to me like mother and daughter were shopping together and some sort of misbehavior is suspected.

14 March '10 -- This picture combines two subjects which attract me -- silhouettes and children being given a ride on the shoulders of their parents.

16 March '09 -- Certain people have facial characteristics or expressions which make them ready subjects for portraiture.  This shot was one in which I had to be quick on the draw.  While sitting in my cab waiting for a fare at the Columbus Circle taxi cue, suddenly he came walking toward me on the sidewalk.  The juxtaposition of his countenance with the softness of the baby creates, I think, a dramatic effect.

26 August '07 - Interesting juxtapositions can pop up quite randomly.  In this shot it looks like she could step right out of the advertisement on the side of the telephone booth and join her family.
