The iconic Checker taxicab.
Damn! Haven't seen one of them for awhile. I think the last one I saw on the road was in India.
I thought the last of those were removed from service a few years back.
I loved those old buggies. I owned a Checker station wagon in the early 80s that I restored and used to haul my race crew around on Saturday nights. Wonderful car:)
Actually there haven't been any Checkers in use as NYC taxis for about 10 years. This particular car is a privately owned vehicle, not actually in use as a taxicab.
